i would like to apologize to tsi_don for bidding on his lathe job for this reason. the job i bid on and was awarded was for 1 1/2 dia. my machines only go up to 1 3/8 i should't have bid on this job. my mistake. sorry. :o

out here in calif. we use Fry steel or Bralco. they have more vendors but these two seem to be the cheapest around.

I Agree! i priced CRS here in Calif. and the going rate was $2.30 a pound. so in order for this guy to make a profit. he must be stealing the material. ok, i'm done with this subject.

this is the only problem i see with this forum. these guys come on here for FREE hoping they can get machining for FREE. they have 1000 people bid on 1 job and they can pick and choose who they want based on everybody cutting each other throat and giving them rock bottom price. it's no way that...
