Here are some info to make the job easier. And please feel free to ask me anything that will make this job easier for you.

*hot rolled steel will be fine.
*the two holes(ones that don't break through) in bracket 1 is just acting as a rough stop for a mating piece. It just needs to be something little better than a ceter punch feature to locate the center of a hole. You can use the same drill bit from neighboring thru holes and just go deep enough to leave a mark. I don't care about the depth nor diameter of the partial hole, just need to make sure it doesn't break out the other side.
*I don't care about the bend radii for either brackets. I was just using the stardard thickness of the plate.
*If its preferred to use same thickness for both pieces, you can use .188" for all pieces.
