moldremoval

Im going to be getting married and moving into fiances apartment in new york. Its an old building. No bathroom fan. There is mold spots that appear on shower ceiling frequently and they paint over it. There are also several shower tiles that are loose and or missing grout so I worry there might be mold behind shower walls also. I have only showered once when I was there and I actually had a headache after my shower and I rarely have headaches. My question is, if I caulk and seal all the shower tiles, and repaint the ceiling and improve ventilation by adding a fan and opening bathroom window, will it keep the mold that might be behind the walls from getting out and having the spores escape and cause health problems? Also, where would be the best place to put a fan? I was thinking putting it by bathroom door and pointing toward window which is adjacent the shower.
